Paying tribute to their father, Hon Zanetor Rawlings, flanked by her brother, Kimathi, reminded the crowd of their faather's principles and values especially the need to extend kindness to one another.

The General Secretary of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, urged the NDC to ensure the corrupt Akufo-Addo government is removed from power because that will be the best honour that can be done to Rawlings who spent his life fighting corruption.

Other speakers at the function include the National Chairman of the NDC, Ofosu Ampofo, the Minority leader, Hon Haruna Iddrisu and Mr. Dan Abodakpi whose speech was read on his behalf by Ghana's Former Minister for Sports and later Ambassador to Germany, Akua Dansoa.
